TheCotswoldsCode

The Cotswolds Code is the data controller for personal information collected through cotswoldscode.co.uk and any associated subdomain. This policy describes what is collected, why, and the choices a reader has under the UK General Data Protection Regulation.

What we collect

For an account: an email address and a single attestation that the reader is eighteen or over. For a paid subscription: payment metadata held by the payment processor, not by us. For all visitors: standard server logs (IP address, user agent, request path, timestamp), retained for a short window for security and troubleshooting. The Site uses analytics to understand traffic patterns at an aggregate level.

What we do not collect

The Site does not collect identity documents, biometric data, or age-verification scans. There is no member directory, no public profile, no behavioural advertising. We do not sell personal data.

Third parties

Sign-in is provided by auth.cotswoldscode.co.uk. Payment processing is handled by an industry-standard processor that holds card and billing data. Email is sent by a transactional email provider. Analytics are recorded by an analytics provider in aggregated form. Each provider acts as a processor on our behalf under written contract.

Your rights

A reader may request access to, correction of, or deletion of their personal data. Account deletion closes the subscription, removes the account record, and ends future communication. Some information may be retained where the law requires (for example, financial records for HMRC).
